About RuneIndustries.

So hopefully by this point you've checked out my portfolio and now would like to know a little more.

My name is Greg Bloxham and I've been coding for the web since the good old days of Netscape 1. There isn't much I haven't worked on webwise, but my primary focus has become PHP, Database and Flash programming.

I am not a "web designer". I am a web developer. I make things work. That said, I do have an eye for design and am more than able to take small sections of existing designs to their logical conclusions. Being a flash developer I am very good at taking static designs and animating them beautifully.

I first started web development when I was taking a gap year working at City University in London.  There I was offered a job working for a .com startup which I took and over the following years worked on contracts for Ticketmaster, Yahoo, AOL, Meanfiddler, Dose Canada and many many more.

After that I contracted to several London design agencies (Crayon London and Poke London being the main ones) and worked  for clients such as BT and Orange mobile.

I  later moved to the west coast of Ireland where I continue to work with the many great agencies I know, agencies such as Ridgwaywilkes (who designed my logo by the way), Lemon Foundation, Ad-rich, Redboxgroup and Visualscript to name but a few. My clients have included Snickers, Rockstar Games, Activision, Big Chill festival, The Economist, Nissan, Future+ and Renault..

I've worked with developers and designers who're based in Canada, India, China, Australia and the UK, using just about every web technology and CMS available.

But enough of that.. Why would you want to employ me? Well..

  • I'm quick: I've been developing for long enough that I know where things will go wrong before they go wrong, therefore avoiding delays. I also have an existing codebase which saves me writing everything from scratch.
  • I'm very good: PHP, JS, AS, CSS, Databases, Flash, Linux systems... And a whole lot more. My portfolio speaks for itself.
  • I'm reliable: Barring meteorite strikes, power cuts or my insanely fast broadband connection dying, I'm always available, on phone, IM, skype or email. Sometimes I need to sleep and eat but who doesn't?
  • I'm adaptable: I've never been given a project that I couldn't work on. If I encounter something that I don't know, I go and learn it. I love facing new challenges and working on new things. The harder the better please.
  • I'm cheap: I have few overheads. I do not have to pay for a big office. I don't have a company car. I don't do expensive lunches (I grow my own tomatoes and bake my own bread!). You only pay for the work I do, nothing else.

So, if you need any web work done, from Facebook apps to SEO, get in touch. I can help.

Greg

p.s. I've been asked by I chose WordPress for my own site when I could so easily have written my own CMS. Well, the answer is that I wanted to learn how to write WordPress plugins, and where better to do that than on my own site. So this WP install is now full of custom plugins created by yours truly.  And that's the reason.

"Greg is the most talented developer I have ever worked with -- and I've worked with a few. From HTML to Java to Facebook apps -- no problem or project ever fazes him."
