popt_art digital image zoomer
I built this for my toughest client yet: my partner, popt_art.

My partner is an artist and required a way to display her artworks online whilst allowing viewers to see the images in all their glorious detail.
To achieve this I heavily modified the flash Deepzoom component to handle layered image zooming. This of course presented a problem however as it is quite difficult to create "image pyramids" without a good deal of technical knowledge.
So for the sake of my own sanity I created a Python script which would create image pyramids automatically. For further ease of use I then created a small website that allowed non-techs to upload large images and have everything handled automatically, right down to generating thumbnails and preview images.
The popt_art site has recieved a lot of good comments and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.
